Dog Safety Week

This week we have been learning all about 'What to do if you meet a dog'. We have been busy making puppets for role play and acting out the rules that we have learned.
1. Check it's sweet before you meet.
2. Quiet and slow is the way to go.
3. Chin or chest that's the best.
4. Keep your face out of their space.
5. A dog is not a toy, don't tease or annoy.
6. Don't scream and shout it freaks us out.
7. To meet a pup ask a grown up.
8. If a dog has a snack keep well back.
9. Let them sniff your hand to understand.

We had a very special visitor on Friday to help us practice all the rules we had learned. Ponyo Emi's puppy came to school and we had lots of fun as she was very excited!
