Inquiry learning:
At the very end of last term Penelope told us all about how the sand dunes at Mount Main Beach are disappearing and we decided to use our inquiry learning to try and find a way to help out. We interviewed an expert and searched on the internet to find some answers. We planned a trip to the dunes to plant some more spinifex with our buddy class Room 14. We had a really fun morning with lots of parent helpers and met a Coastal Ranger from Environment Bay of Plenty who told us lots about the dunes.
When we came back to school we made posters with our buddies from room 14 to let other people know what they could do to help save our dunes.
This week our inquiry learning and posters have been moved to the library - if you have a chance go and check them out!
