Barnaby tries out his new clothes!

We had such a big surprise this week when we were told to bring clothes to wear to the snow to school. Some of the children in Room 9 thought that Mrs Mortimore was being silly as there is no snow at Omanu School!

When we came to school on Thursday we found out that we were going to have lots of snow delivered so that we could test out Barnaby's new clothes. Would Barnaby stay warm and dry?

First we did the roll and got changed into our snow clothes. Next we watched a huge truck tip snow outside the hall. Then we were first to go in so we all ran and dived into it! The snow was cold, hard and icy. We had so much fun jumping, sliding and throwing it. Finally we buried Mrs Mortimore in it. She said it was very, very cold. It was lucky that she had brought spare clothes to school.
